Hi everybody, it’s Erik here!

We are the core of After Mat Chat! Our home gym is Triple Threat Jiu Jitsu in Marble Falls, Texas. We have a combined BJJ experience of over 30 years, living and breathing the joy that is sport Jiu Jitsu.

We started the podcast to give a voice to all of us at the gym; to speak our perspectives on all things and bring something back to group that may not be there otherwise. I did know at the time what amazing things would come out of this effort. After the first few episodes, I knew we had something amazing albeit small but “great things come from small beginnings!”

Our professor is Mario Fonseca, an active competing black belt under Rodrigo Cabral of Brazilian Fight Factory.

Brandon and Jesse coach / mentor us bringing their long histories of competition and life experience as well as helping inspire and build the podcast with me.

I am Erik, a hobbyist and sometimes competitor who loves bringing people from different backgrounds together through this long form podcast.
